About Lee Winkler

Lee Winkler has spent over 25 years as a surfer including over 15 yrs as World Professional surfer travelling the globe surfing the best waves in the world and reaching the Elite World Championship Tour competing along side  Kelly Slater, Andy Irons, Dane Reynolds, Joel Parkinson, Jordy Smith and Mick Fanning.

Lee is a born and bred local of Coffs Harbour and has a beautiful young family with 4 young  Grom’s of his own, who are now starting to learn to surf and experience the ocean with their Dad.

Lee Winkler’s Surf School has now been running over 6 yrs and these years have been some of the most humbling ocean experience’s working with all types of organizations including  schools, religious, community, welfare and challenged groups.

Lee Winkler is also a Performance Coach to many aspiring surfers in the region who are looking  to a career path in surfing and Lee also plays a active role within the community attending  school and university classes for presentations and school discussions with students.

This is a unique experience to surf with the only Surf School in the Coffs Harbor City Council that offers the experience and education that comes with Lee’s dedication and hard work to the sport of surfing during gruelling  years developing to become a World Championship Tour surfer.

Lee received a Australian Sports Medal for his contribution to the sport of surfing in 2000 from the former Prime Minister John Howard.
