Surf Safety

Lee Winkler’s Surf School understands the intimidation the ocean can present to inexperienced surfers and they always puts safety first.

Each individual lesson is held in appropriate areas of the beach for the specific skill level of that class, so everyone enjoys a positive experience.

During the start of each class, instructors will conduct a “Surf Check “ and educate students on why we choose our designated Surf School area. The ocean is continually changing and there is never a wave that is the same and our instructors have to pick the perfect spot for that specific period of the day.

Wink’s Team have over 225 combined years of surfing experience, and still love the ocean like young Grommets surfing all local beaches around the world.

All instructors are SNR First Aid Qualified, OSSCA certificate plus all having their Level 1 or Level 2 Surfing Australia Coaching Accreditation.
